Welcome! Thanks so much for stopping by.
I know it's winter, but I'm still clinging to the feel of sand between my toes, and I'm happy to report that TEN BEACH ROAD, a story about three women who lose their life savings to a Ponzi scheme and are left with only co-ownership of a dilapidated beachfront mansion, has ended up in lots of beach and pool bags since it came out in May.
USA Today pronounced it one of six books that belong in your beach bag, the St. Petersburg Times recommended it for those who like Jennifer Weiner and called it ‘wry and warm,’ and the Atlanta Journal Constitution listed it as one of its ‘Best of the South Beach Books of Summer.’ Women’s World Magazine called it ‘perfect poolside reading!’
But I promise that it can be read, and hopefully enjoyed, even in the dead of winter.
There've been so many requests for more of Avery Lawford, Madeline Singer, and Nicole Grant that I'm just putting the finishing touches on the sequel--OCEAN BEACH-- which is due out just before the 4th of July.
This time the crew will be on Miami's South Beach bringing a really fabulous Art Deco Streamline home back to life as they cement the unexpected friendship that began in TEN BEACH ROAD. In the process they help the house's owner keep a promise that he made to his wife on her deathbed.
Over the last year and a half, I’ve spent a lot of time researching houses and what it would take to bring one back to life—a sometimes daunting task for someone who lives in a family that can’t use tools without requiring medical attention. Click here to see how this research turned me into an HGTV addict!
While you're here, I hope you'll click around a bit and read an excerpt of TEN BEACH ROAD, see reviews of my books, and sign up for my mailing list so I can let you know when I have a new book out or will be appearing or signing near you. And, of course, I’d love for you to join me on facebook.
If you're a member of a book club, please register your group so that we can be in touch. And check out the photos that some of the groups have sent me. I love attending book clubs in person whenever possible or via conference call or Skype outside the Atlanta area.
